The cornerstone of the DII implementation methodology (ManageIT) is the project plan. The project plan includes a detailed assessment of the scope. It identifies all activities necessary for a successful implementation, establishes schedules, and delineates resources for and responsibilities of all team members. After completing the project plan, the team embarks on the implementation. Implementation starts with prototyping, which includes a fit/gap analysis, through system design and configuration, extensive testing, and transition to production. Throughout the process, DII works diligently with the customer to achieve maximum knowledge transfer.

Decision Interface's proprietary issues tracking tool, TrackIT, supports DII's methodology. It is used to track all issues and decisions that occur during the design phase of the implementation. TrackIT allows the team to log all customization requests and their associated estimates, as well as all patches, fixes and vendor calls. TrackIT greatly facilitates configuration control and documentation throughout the project.
